I am a chemist, with research interest in new materials, working with reuse of polymers to make new functional foams, and with new clay-polyphosphate materials for ion conduction and tissue regeneration. In IIT I am developing new self-healing nanocomposites, based on polyurethane-nanoclay composites, to be used as functional skins for the liquid robot, the COgITOR.
